Garden Time

Garden time makes academic time way way way faster, definitely easier and soooo in place!!! Its the place to go right after breakfast!
After this Nic now knows that aphids exist!
A little time out of the house in our small strip we call a garden and the rest of the day is light and feels like as it should!!! Less complains more cooperation.

Time in the garden working with no agenda but just be there and somehow a project is thought of, a tiny thing discovered, a joy from inside awakened...By 10 am the kids, sometimes without being told, just come inside the house.

Learning about animals/ science stuff  won't be complete without out favorite nature/ globe trotter tutor, David Attenborough, although I could not find any videos of him talking about rabbits, hares, picas...
I did find this video while searching for jackrabbits. The girls described this video as: amazing, cute, a bit freaky.... Oh! Wow!... Now I think our pet might just have a career!!!

  1. I love this! We also go out to the garden in the morning without an agenda. We listen to the birds, look at clouds, look at crawling insects, etc! :)

  2. HI Mariel,
Yes, its hard for me to plan what exactly to do. Most of the time they find something to do. It also seems to calm them down and they are more set to do academics after spending some time out doors :D
